Privacy Policy

This is a plain-English draft summary pending final counsel review. It explains our intent in clear terms; the binding legal version will follow.

What WaitLayer never collects

Source code, prompts, AI completions, and terminal output.

Shell history, file contents, directory paths, repo names, and branch names.

Dependency files, Claude transcript contents, secrets, and environment variables.

These are blocked in the client before any payload is assembled.

What WaitLayer may collect

Install ID, account ID, client version, agent type, and surface type.

Eligible display duration, sponsor campaign ID, impression token, and click event.

Coarse region, payout account status, and fraud-review signals.

Error logs that do not contain private work content.

Why we collect anything

To verify sponsor delivery and calculate developer earnings.

To prevent fraud and protect both developers and advertisers.

To process payouts, debug client reliability, and meet legal obligations.

Retention

We retain verification and payout events only as long as needed to verify delivery, prevent fraud, process payouts, and meet legal obligations, then minimize them.

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated identifiers, subject to records we are legally required to retain.

Developer data is not sold

WaitLayer does not sell developer data as an audience dataset.
